Week 175
WALKABOUT : PATTERSON LAKES
1. Looking west towards the mouth of the Patterson River from the Coastguard pontoon. The sea is just beyond the bridge. |
2. "Fine,"
the weatherman said this morning, "it's going to be a fine day!" What
kind of fine, I wondered, looking upstream |
3. Looking south along the eastern shore of Port Phillip Bay. Fine weather, indeed! |
4. I liked the early light on these seaweed-covered rocks along the river bank.
5. I haven't been able to find out what kind of bird this is, which is rather infuriating. |
6. This one I do know -- it's a white-faced heron. |
7. No Mercedes Benzes or BMW's, just smart boats in the "driveways". |
8. A man and his dog. |
9. "Too much tide and not enough rope"? |
10. "So where's me breakfast, then?" (It's a real pelican, really!). |
