Week 180

SOME CITY SIGHTS

1.  Please forgive me my fascination with the Eureka Tower, but it is after all
the tallest residential tower in the world! The observation deck should
open for the public by the end of the year, when I will bring you views
from the top.

2. The other tall building, the Rialto Tower, seen from a different angle.

3. Dramatic skies over the Yarra this morning...

4.  The Melbourne Aquarium.

5. Inside the Block Arcade.

6. Drummond Street, north of the CBD, has some lovely old houses.

7. Splashes of colour in the Carlton Gardens.

8. I could not resist sharing this little fellow's expression! He is one of the figures on the fountain in front of the Exhibition
Building.

10. The escalators at Parliament Street station. The railway line runs underground here, and there are two sets of these
escalators taking one down to the lowest level.
