Week 194

2007 HARVEST MUSIC FESTIVAL

1.  On the way - a scene typical of this part of Victoria.

2. The recent good rains have brought out some new green in the landscape.

3. Quirky humour!

4.  A picnic atmosphere prevailed, with people making the most of the day (this is before the showers came).

5. In the main shed the Irish folk singer Bap Kennedy wows the crowd.

6. The highlight of the day for me was the powerful voice and performance of the legendary American performer Steve Young.

7. Earlier in the marquee: The Small Knives playing to a still smallish audience of all ages.

8. Then the day turned wet and windy, as shown by this long view of the nearby hillside.

9. Not everyone could fit into the marquee, but at least the clear plastic walls enabled those outside to see as well -- and
they also made for an interesting image!

10. Mary Gauthier from the US sings one of her powerful folk ballads to a packed main shed.
