Week 203

WILLIAMSTOWN & COLONIAL NAVY BOAT SHOW

1.  A beautifully crafted rowing boat in glowing wood.

2. The sharp end of a runabout from yesteryear...

3. ... and of a shapely dinghy.

4.  Looking out over the marina, with the decommissioned minesweeper HMAS Castlemaine at her usual mooring.

5. Corsair enters the marina.

6. A forest of masts.

7. A modern pirate ship? No, just the Castlemaine flying the boat show's Jolly Roger
above a Bofors 40 mm anti-aircraft gun.

8. There were two kinds of flying available.

9. The Cessna taking people for flips taxis back to her mooring after yet another flight.

10. Melbourne's skyline that I have grown so fond of. This view shows clearly how much taller the Eureka Tower is than the Rialto Tower,
the bluish building in the centre of the view.  Station Pier is on the far right. This is from where the Spirit of Tasmania ferries leave for
Tasmania.
