EAST MELBOURNE

1.  This stunning sculpture is in front of No. 1, Spring Street, the building on the corner of Spring Street and Wellington
Parade, right next to the corner of the Treasury Gardens.

2. The Hilton on the Park Hotel, as seen from Fitzroy Gardens.

3. One of the two statues at the Clarendon Street entrance to Fitzroy Gardens.

4.  This lovely old house in bluestone brings to mind the grand "Ostrich Palaces" in Oudtshoorn, South Africa.

5. Trust me to find some weird shot!

6. Beautiful detail on one of the old Victorian terraces. This building now houses apartments.

7. This little fellow is in the Fitzroy Gardens.

8. Capt. Cook's Cottage is a typical 18th century English cottage from the village of Great Ayton. It was dismantled there and
shipped to Melbourne in crates and barrels to be reassembled in Fitzroy Gardens in 1934..
