Week 248

ALBERT PARK LAKE --  AND A SOUTH AFRICAN INVASION!

This week's edition of the Cam is totally different from any previous one! For the first time ever
we focus on people this time. On Sunday, 3 February a group of well over 50 ex-South Africans
or South Africans newly arrived here congregated at Albert Park Lake for a picnic. It was an
opportunity for us to share our experiences, to meet new people, to assist new arrivals and in
general just to be able to speak Afrikaans and be with people who understand us as only fellow
countrymen or -women can.
The picnic was a huge success and will probably become a regular event.
