Week 250

PEOPLE CITY
 

The images this week were all taken on a short stroll from Flinders Street Station and back, via Federation Square,
Southbank, and Banana Alley and Flinders Walk on the north bank of the Yarra River. Of course I could not resist
looking at architectural details as well, but more of those at a next occasion...

 

1. The free city circle tram in front of the Visitor's Centre.

2. Flinders Street Station and the Eureka Tower.

3. The Transport Hotel and pub as seen from across the river.

4. A living statue on the Southbank Promenade.

5. A free music concert along the promenade...

6. ... and an old-fashioned merry-go-round.

7. A part of Southbank and the promenade.

8. This bee (and a number of smaller ones) has alighted at the Eureka Tower since I last looked. Taken from across the river.

9. The footbridge and Eureka Tower.

10. A peaceful afternoon's angling amid the bustle ... mind you, some seem to have a
better idea!
