Week 254

TO BELGRAVE AND BACK

This Sunday I took the short drive to Belgrave, a small town nestling at the foot of the
Dandenong Ranges and not far from home. The images were taken there and along the
road back to Hampton Park, and are pretty varied this week.

1. The mural on the back wall of the Puffing Billy Café is still looking fresh.

2. Belgrave is of course the home of the Puffing Billy steam train, so no wonder this mural on the main street depicts the little
train crossing the trestle bridge on its way to Emerald.

3. I just like the colours...

4. This youngster was having a roadside munch.

5. The end if a dry summer is drawing near, so the countryside is pretty parched.

6. Sky, trees.. what more is there to say?

7.  OK, so it's a heifer, not even a bullock, but the picture still reminded me of the song The Lonely Bull.

8. A homestead on a hilltop.

9. This old fellow seemed to be meditating in the heat of the afternoon ... or perhaps he was just dozing.

10. Roadside scene with some patches of green.
