Week 257

SUNDAY IN THE CITY

The images this week were all made during a meandering stroll through some of the
more central parts of the city centre. You will find quite a few photographs of people
just doing their thing... a new approach I am trying! I would like to hear from you how
these images appeal or do not appeal to you...

1. A hot collection in a container on City Square.

2. Abstract ceiling of a foyer.

3. A blues singer in the Bourke Street pedestrian mall.

4. Friends always find time for a quiet moment or two amid the hustle and bustle.

5. Well, horses are people, too, you know!

6. The same couple, but photographed later and on the opposite side of the street.

7.  With the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in full swing, Federation Square is abuzz with people. The actual square is
to the left of this view and behind the Visitor Centre.

8. Back on City Square I stopped for a refreshing beer and spotted these little ones having fun on the wooden wombat.

9. This is one of the scenes that make Melbourne the wonderfully vibrant city that it is: people enjoying the open air in one of
thousands or street cafés in the city.

10. Southbank basking in the late afternoon sun as I make my way back to Flinders Street Station for the train ride home.
