Week 261

CITY OF PEOPLE

Back in the city of Melbourne again this week, and we take a special look at some of the people
of this wonderful place. Melbourne's streets have plenty of buskers, be they musicians or acrobats,
and then there are, of course the people who watch, and those who just go about enjoying the
city and all it has to offer or trying to make a living...

1. The flower seller on Swanston Street, near the Town Hall, wanted to step aside so I could
photograph his flowers, but was quite happy to be persuaded to stay in shot.

2. Soulful - this busker puts his all into his performance on the Burke Street pedestrian mall.

3. Snack time... for pigeons as well as humans (Burke Street pedestrian mall).

4. I wonder what they are discussing? A bit of red here and there, just to please the eye.

5. On Federation Square a young boy was roped into an act. I love all the smiles he produced!

6. Shhh... artist at work (Swanston Street).

7.  "Yeah, mate, fair dinkum!" was the reply I got when I asked this Aboriginal whether I could take a photo of him and his didgeridoo.

8. This cellist in front of the Flinders Street station was having a chat with a mate when I took
his photo.

9. What a doll! On the promenade, Southbank.

10. Collecting money for AWARE Dogs.
