Week 263

ON HOME TURF
 

The images this week were all made during a quick spin around Hampton Park,
where I live. The most photogenic part of the suburb is the wetlands, so there
are a few views of that, but I also made a stop at the main shopping area, where I
managed to find a bit of colour for you! I hope my friend António finds this week's
offering less "uninspired"!  It just goes to show that one can please all of the
people all of the time...

1. A pipe band leads a march of workers in last week's May Day parade.

2. The clouds were still hanging around after the previous day's rain.

6. I managed to get a passable shot of this Purple Swamp hen just before two dogs scared
the bird off.

7.  Breezy and cool, yet the late afternoon sun makes the scene look warm.
