SOUTH AFRICAN PICNIC - WESTERFOLDS PARK
 

This Sunday saw another picnic held by and for the South Africans living in Melbourne. This time the venue
was Westerfolds Park, near Templestowe, east of the city. The event was very well attended, especially as
there is as yet no umbrella organisation catering for SA expats here in Melbourne. The images are meant
to give you an idea of who and what, and I tried to get my own personal view of the proceedings, as usual!
 

1. A really wide view gives an idea of how many people there were.

5. The experts at work - although they seem to be having a bit of trouble with the sosaties (kebabs) sticking to the foil.

7.  Beware - woman driver! Actually this little girl had her battery-powered jeep pretty well under control.

10. ... and a local (a kookaburra) looks on, ever so slightly bemused by al the goings, on and the Afrikaans beings spoken
everywhere.
