Week 328
SÃO PAULO, BRAZIL - SNATCHES
I
may be in a foreign city, but that does not mean that my notorious
propensity for details or unusual
angles/views has been suppressed! So, this week I offer you snatches
of the city as I found them here
and there.

1. During a recent shower I noticed the lovely light on the neighbour's roof...

2. Another roof and some play with lines.

3. Simple colours and textures.

4. Água
Rasa: this district is typical of many of the older suburbs and now
shows its age. Owners are reluctant to do major
renovations as most of these properties will soon be bought up and
demolished to make way for apartment blocks.

5. The sun -- and those are not sunspots, merely bits of cloud!.

6. One of
Oscar Niemeyer's statutes at the Memorial da America Latina. The text on
the glass wall reads "Tudo pode cair" -
everything may fall.

7. A peace lily in the Parque Água Branca.

8. Koi in a pond in the
parque. It's not easy to photograph them when the light is low and they
are frantic because they expect to
be fed every time they spot people looking at them! The largest one in
the photo is about 30 cm (1 foot) long.

9. Another of my pet subjects!

10. After sunset on a warm spring evening.
