Week 332

LYSTERFIELD LAKE - AND A SOUTH AFRICAN PICNIC

This week sees a return to Lysterfield Lake for a picnic for South Africans and ex-South Africans living
in the Melbourne area. And, true to Melbourne form, we had bright sun and showers to spice up the day.

1. Bright sun and the park is still virtually deserted.

2. In this light the lake seems almost tropical.

3. A brisk breeze made conditions ideal for sailing.

4. I wonder what the topic of this conversation was!

5. Time to start getting lunch on the gas grills.

6. And then the first shower came...

7. ... and marched off over the hill to make way for the next one.

8. Maleleuca trees line the shores, with eucalypts behind them.

9. "Is the meat done yet?"

 10. A private conversation.
