Week 334
PORT MELBOURNE TO ST KILDA
This Sunday I
took a walk from Port Melbourne (Station Pier, to be exact) all along the
beachfront
to St Kilda, taking photos as I went along. It was a slog against a rather stiff
sou'wester, but great
fun all the same - and I burned a LOT of kilojoules in the process!

1. The sad ruin of what was the Princes Pier is slowly being restored.

2. A visual cliché, yes, but I could not resist this image.

3. A kite surfer going airborne.

4. Spirit of Tasmania II, the ferry to Tasmania, moored at Station Pier.

5. Glorious sailing weather!

6. Sand, sea, sails and skies.

7. Grand old Victorian style facades along Beaconsfield Parade. (I like that street name!)

8. St Kilda marina with kite surfers and a boardsailor.

9. Looking back towards Port Melbourne; the ferry just barely visible.

10. Lots of ivy, St Kilda.
