  CORHANWARRABUL WETLANDS

The wetlands and the bush which make up the Corhanwarrabul wetlands lie along the western bank
of the Dandenong Creek between Wellington and Ferntree Gulley Roads, Wheelers Hill,  southeast of
Melbourne.  In high summer the area is dry and not exactly the most picturesque of areas, so I set
myself the challenge of trying to find interesting images...

1. These poplars are between the cycle path (to the right of the image) and the wetlands area.

2. The bush here is mostly eucalypt and wattle, with some maleleucas as well.

3. A glimpse of a pool in the Dandenong Creek.

4. Nature's sculpture in dry wood...

5. It pays to look carefully! Seeds on a dried rush.

6. It was a hot day, but there was some relief in the cool tranquility under the trees.

7. Contrasting textures on a fallen eucalyptus trunk.

8. The creek again near the cycle path underpass under Ferntree Gulley Road.

9. The thunderheads stayed in the distance and brought no rain.

 10. Stone textures and shades.
