Week 352

  JELLS PARK VIEWS

We return to Jells Park for a walk around the lake, with views of some of the bird life, the lake and the
surrounding woodlands and lawns, always popular with picnickers on Sundays.

1. An interesting juxtaposition of dead tree trunks.

2. Sticks and reflections.. I like the contrast between straight lines and the wavering reflections..

3. Zooming in on the shore of one of the islands .. it has a tropical look to it, doesn't it?

4. Sunbathing in one of the bright breaks in the otherwise overcast day.

5. Rushes.

6. On the lookout for a late lunch?

7. This young heron took me almost ten minutes to photograph; not only was it quite far away and insisted
on moving behind some reeds, but it was also very wary, hence the shot at full zoom.

8. A retaining wall of sleepers.

9. A Pacific black duck.

 10. The late afternoon sun caught this tree and its interestingly textured trunk as I was
about to leave.
